Murray Paterson has 30 years’ experience as an adult educator in Corporate, Professional Services, Professional Association, and Tertiary Education settings. He is a Board Director and also an Executive Director of Mindful Growth, a consultancy service focussing on Executive Coaching, Leadership development, program design and facilitation.

Murray joined Allevi8 as Associate – Corporate Clients, focussing on building 1:1 meditation mentoring programs for corporate employees who have been diagnosed with, or have been identified to be at risk of developing significant physical or mental illness. He is also a Senior Consultant and Facilitator at the Potential Project Australia which provides corporate-based mindfulness programs.

Previously Murray led the Learning and Development team at Herbert Smith Freehills, a global corporate law firm, where he worked for more than 10 years, focussing on the creation of an effective learning culture. He led a number of global projects including the development of firm-wide competency models for partners, lawyers, and business services staff. He co-designed and facilitated the leadership program for emerging leaders and culture change programs within Australia. He frequently coached partners, and senior business services staff.

Murray introduced and championed mindfulness programs for the firm locally and internationally changing the culture of the firm to be a more effective, focused, and balanced place to work with improved mental health and wellbeing for all.
